Description
The Transit Driver is responsible for the safe and punctual transportation of passengers using the public Transit service in Port Hope while providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job which are repetitive and constant, including but not limited to: sitting for prolonged periods of time, reaching, gripping, pushing/pulling of steering wheel, twisting and turning of neck, high level of visual/sensory acuity and concentration.
- Ability to lift objects up to 20 Kg to assist passengers with large objects including bags, wheelchairs, strollers, etc.
- Valid Class C driver’s license with two years of driving experience and a clean driver’s record/abstract.
- Valid and satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check.
Employment Terms:
- Hours: Varied Part-time, Monday through Saturday. Hours are based on operational requirements, which may include one (1) to three (3) days per a week, additional hours may be provided to cover for absences/vacation.
- Compensation: $19.66 - $23.15 /Hour
